Tina Mason LIDTA (LIDTA BT, T / AIDTA TC, MJ, F)
Principal
Tina has been dancing for over 20 years and is an IDTA registered teacher and Licentiate member. Tina also holds an Anatomy and Physiology Diploma, an NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Diploma, First Aid qualification, has an Enhanced DBS Check and is also a Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Officer so you can be assured that your children are training in a safe environment.
Tina trained at the Jackie Lynn Dance Studios and Starquest Performing Arts in Kent, where she successfully gained her professional teaching qualifications in all core subjects.
During and after completing her training, Tina performed in many professional productions throughout the UK as both dancer and the role dance captain.
Her performance credits include: La Traviata opera (Royal Albert Hall, London), Aida (The Orchard Theatre, Dartford), Showstoppers, Cotton Eye Joe, Hooray For Hollywood (Westgate Pavilion Theatre), Nightclub Express, Legends on Broadway, Hooray For Hollywood, Imagination (Central Theatre, Chatham) and various pantomime and summer season productions around the UK.
Tina has previously taught and lead the Dance Enrichment Programme for Key Stage 3 at The Wellington Academy, Tidworth as well as running her own school in Wiltshire. Past teaching experience also includes teaching Classical Ballet, Tap, Jazz and performance work along with all aspects of Anatomy and Physiology to students of Starquest Performers College. Tina has also been freelance teaching for Jackie Lynn Dance Studios and Starquest Performing Arts School teaching all core subjects.
Tina is also looking to further and higher her own training to eventually become an examiner with the International Dance Teachers' Association.
